We have previously introduced Adrian de Cléir, our technical director, and John O’ Brien, our creative director, on previous blog posts. Now meet director of sales and marketing, Mark O’ Sullivan.
Mark brings an extra dimension to the Surge team with his excellent networking abilities and his years of business experience. For Mark, customer service has always been the key to success. He has been involved in the development of business in Limerick for over 18 years as Chairman of Supply Network Shannon, member of the Limerick Chamber of Commerce, member of the Derg Business Alliance and more recently joining the Steering Committee of the Atlantic Universities Alliance. Building up trust and reliability has been an integral part of the philosophy of Surge from day one and this is second nature to Mark. One of his strong qualities is in growing friendships and relationships within the business community.
Mark’s role within the team is in the building of connections and taking care of customer service. He makes initial contact with our clients to establish their requirements and talks them through their options depending on their unique business needs. Mark thrives on the feedback that we receive from a job well done.
Outside of Surge, Mark makes his home in county Limerick with his wife Teresa and three daughters. He enjoys cycling and playing golf. Mark is an all-Ireland winning Kerry man. He won an all-Ireland basketball medal when he was younger and received his medal from one of his heroes* Charlie Haughey (*the word hero here is used in a sarcastic style).
Mark’s favourite Surge project to date has been Adare Manor. He loves golf and from this project he came to understand what is involved in the running and management of a golf club. He found great satisfaction in working with Seán Moran, the captain of the club, in establishing what was required to help the club move forward in terms of their digital presence and seeing the end product that Surge produced.
