
Surge Media worked in partnership with Designers Ink to produce a new digital edition of the UL Links magazine. Designers Ink have worked with UL since 2007 in producing the publication which has profiled international academics, student innovations and visits from internationally renowned speakers to UL over the years.
The magazine was always available in printed version and is circulated with The Irish Times annually. The new digital version of the magazine opens the doors for the magazine to become more accessible than ever before with current and past students having access to the latest news and developments across the University.
Our work on the site involved us inputting in to the structuring of the new site and creating the layout and styles based on the current branding and printed version of the magazine. The project was a great challenge for us at Surge as we utilised our creative and technical skills well in order to create a great user experience with customised pages and features on the site to allow the users to easily navigate and share the stories and content from the UL Links publication.
